Riverheights Players Help Construct Boundary Wall
At Riverheights in Goreangab, the spirit of teamwork extends beyond the soccer field. While the teams’ performances (in different age groups) on the pitch have been turning heads, the club’s commitment to community and development is just as strong off the field.
Construction is currently underway on a much-needed boundary wall at the Riverheights grounds. This initiative aims to protect the club’s library container and surrounding premises from seasonal flooding, which earlier this year posed significant challenges to the safety and upkeep of the facilities.
What makes this project remarkable is the active involvement of the players themselves. In true Riverheights fashion, members have rolled up their sleeves, contributing their time and effort to assist with the construction process. From carrying bricks to clearing the site, these young athletes are showing the same dedication to their community as they do during matches.
The library container, which houses books and educational materials, has become a cornerstone of Riverheights’ commitment to academic support alongside athletic training. Ensuring its protection is a top priority for the club.
With work progressing steadily, the boundary wall is set to offer a vital safeguard against future water damage while also adding to the overall security of the grounds.
Riverheights continues to be an example of what happens when passion for sport meets commitment to community. Whether it's winning medals or laying foundations—this club is building something that lasts.
