Stirring Hope: Help Us Stock the Riverheights Kitchen
Since 2020, the progress at Riverheights has been steady.
What started as just a few boys kicking a ball on a bare surface has grown into a vibrant, diverse community of over 100 children — boys and girls — who play together, learn together, eat together, and laugh together.
There’s now a library, a well-kept field, and as of this past weekend, a kitchen building and gathering space. The garden is also growing, and so is the spirit of hope that lives here.
We’re deeply grateful for every bit of support we've received — whether in kind, in time, in material, or in funds.
If you're in a position to continue supporting this journey, we’d be truly thankful.
As such (you guessed it, here it comes), we are in need of the following at this point (second hand or new): Large and small pots, frying pans, cooking utensils such as spoons, ladles, tongs, and spatulas, food warmers, kettles, cutting boards, kitchen knives, mixing bowls, graters, peelers, whisks, measuring cups and spoons, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, cutlery (forks, knives, spoons), serving trays, water dispensers, dish racks, sponges, dishcloths, dishwashing liquid, buckets, mops, dustbins with lids, brooms, brushes, paper towels, hand soap, sanitizer, gloves, food storage containers, shelving units, cooler boxes, prep tables, dining tables, chairs, benches, kitchen cabinets, whiteboard or notice board...
Every bit helps to build something lasting.
