Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Growth and Achievements at Riverheights FA
As 2025 comes to a close, we at Riverheights Football Academy are taking a moment to reflect on a year full of challenges, progress, and memorable experiences.
Earlier this year, our U-19 team travelled to Cape Town to participate in the BayHill tournament. While the trip brought its fair share of challenges, it was an invaluable experience for our young athletes, providing exposure, learning opportunities, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our girls’ team has also shown remarkable improvement, making us incredibly proud of their dedication and growth over the year. More broadly, many of our teams performed strongly in the HopSol League, earning recognition not only from league administrators but also from fellow competitors, highlighting the respect and reputation Riverheights Football Academy continues to build.
On the infrastructure front, we were thrilled to finally complete the team kitchen at our Goreangab premises, a project that will serve our teams and community for years to come. Additionally, we made important strides in securing funding to support our ongoing activities, though we recognize there is still much work ahead!
The last weekend of November brought us all together to celebrate a successful year. It was a chance to acknowledge our achievements, reflect on areas for growth in 2026, and most importantly, to appreciate the Riverheights community as a whole. Seeing our youngest members, especially children under the age of six, engaging with the academy reminded us that our focus must include nurturing the next generation of athletes.
As we close out 2025, we want to thank all our friends, supporters, and academy fans. We wish you a safe and joyous festive season and we can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026 for another year of teamwork.
See you next year!
